They come from every corner of Europe bearing extraordinary edibles. But it’s not so much a gastronomic feast than it is an authentic taste of the famed European lifestyle—right here in the Philippines.
It’s called Europino—a way of life defined by experiencing the best Europe has to offer by way of culture, design, aesthetics, and lifestyle philosophy within the familiar control of your home.
Through a showcase of exceptional architecture and meticulous urban planning that inspires a way of life founded on European principles, Two Serendra easily establishes itself as the metro’s gateway to European culture. For a glimpse of this extraordinary lifestyle, Two Serendra introduced the Europino Food Festival—an epicurean feast that celebrated the flavors and scents of European cuisine infused with the festive spirit of Filipino culture.
The event let the colors of Europe and the spirit of the Philippines come alive within Two Serendra as guests indulged in exotic fares and decadent cuisines from the region, as well as specialty dishes that best represented the fusion of Europe and the Philippines, in partnership with some of the metro’s most renowned restaurants and cafés. Some of the treats included: tuna Ceviche and steak adobo from Duo; empanaditas with longganisa and kesong puti filling from Brazil; Philippine coffee like Amadeo and Figaró coffee beans from Kape Isla (which is run by the National Coffee Board); Chipolatas and other great-tasting sausages from Swiss Deli; shrimp-aligue pasta from Tsokolate de Batirol; quality Italian wines from liquor merchant Barolo; fusion pasta and sandwiches from Mezzaluna; Calzones from Balducci; and chocolates from Puratos, a supplier of confectionery goods.
A partnership between Two Serendra’s developer Community Innovations and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, the Europino Food Festival definitely proved a worthy effort to bring both cultures closer together—underscoring the potential of blending the finest elements found in each region to define an emergent lifestyle movement.
