Serendra promotes holistic lifestyle

Life as you know it, has always been about finding the middle ground.

You don’t want to rise before the sun to get to work on time or waste precious hours commuting to your workplace or lose your bearings racing with the rush-hour crowd. So you get a place nearby, one that is accessible to everything: the business district, malls, restaurants, churches, hospitals and schools.

The downside: a hefty rent, perhaps, or an environment unkind to a growing family, where children are exposed to hostile elements and you all squeeze into cramped quarters. You have forgotten what a tree looks like. But you will save hours and you will get to work on time. You will certainly be less stressed out.

Maybe you decide you do want to settle close to nature and far from the madding crowd. You want your kids to play like you did when you were their age – climbing trees, swimming, eating freshly picked fruit with bare hands. You want a close knit environment where neighbors can become friends and are not merely familiar faces. The price? A long, arduous commute to the office or school that could add up to one or two months a year and could have meant quality time spent alone or with the kids.

The life you’ve always known is like a stool missing one leg – sit tight, balance properly, and you will manage, albeit an uncomfortable existence.

It is frequently said that you can’t have it all. But what if somebody said you could?

Real estate leader Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) has always had the mindset of looking for ways to make people’s lives better. They aim for innovation, not for innovation’s sake but for the people. Innovation At Its Peak
Striving to fill this need, ALI started a project with a lofty aim. “The objective is to create a peaceful community within the city,” said ALI senior vice president Angela de Villa-Lacson, describing the beginnings of Serendra, ALI’s newest residential development, which was launched recently. Serendra will rise in a prime location with Bonifacio Global City.

“Our vision is to introduce a different lifestyle to our market, a development that is more people-oriented, a community where people interact with one another, a healthy environment.”

A harbinger of a new lifestyle people only dream about till now, Serendra is a highly innovative one in that it strives to meet people’s needs – a safe and verdant environment to live and grow in without the hassles of a long commute, at a reasonable price. In other words, what it offers is suburban living in the city, with variety in terms of unit design, the layout of the landscape and the entire development.

“We saw the need to create Serendra because a lot of people would rather live in a place with lots of open space,” continued Lacson. “The thing is, many people can’t afford it because it’s either too far from their place of work or it’s very expensive. In Makati, Forbes Park and nearby villages are conveniently located near the business district – but the cost of the house and lot is way beyond the means of most people.”

The ALI answer to the challenge was to cull all the benefits that are scattered over many developments and to bundle them into one neat and abundant package, ending, in essence, the compromise people have had to deal with.

A new lifestyle

Combining all these elements into an organic whole, what Serendra is able to offer is the live-work-play-shop-learn lifestyle. “You live in a peaceful community. At the same time, you are close to nature.
